Danang welcomes first AirAsia flight

The first AirAsia flight between Malaysia’s capital Kuala Lumpur and Da Nang City on Vietnam’s central coast touched down at Danang International Airport on the Dec 16th 2011 morning with more than 100 passengers on board.

The first golf course at Ba Na Hills - Danang Vietnam is now ready to start construction with completion expected in late 2012.

Asia Pacific Golf Summit: English Legend Jacklin To Deliver Keynote Address

Singapore (March 6): Legendary English golfer Tony Jacklin has signed up to be a keynote speaker at this year's Asia Pacific Golf Summit (APGS).

Widely regarded as one of the major influences behind Europe's rise as a golfing force, Jacklin will be to the fore when the fifth edition of the Summit is staged at the Thailand resort city of Pattaya from October 31 to November 6.

DANANG, Vietnam (June 12, 2011) -- On a day when the temperature rose above 35 degrees Celsius on Vietnam's Central Coast, Thailand's Chanachox Dejpiratana rode a red-hot putter to a sizzling 68 and a 6-stroke victory in the Vietnam Amateur Open at Danang Golf Club.

Aptly nicknamed "Tap", the 17-year-old sensation left himself tap-in par putts all morning en route to his lowest round of the tournament, held for the first time at Danang's GC's lauded Dunes Course.

On an evening graced by golfing legends Gary Player, Greg Norman and Annika Sorenstam, it was the host nation that had cause to celebrate well into the night.
